1986 ns Giáp Văn Thạch phổ bài thơ " Bài học đầu cho con " trên báo KQĐ ( sẽ mang tên " Quê hương " khi thành ca khúc ) 

1996 ( 10 năm sau ) đài Truyền hình NHK Nhật bản tặng giải thưởng cho một ca khúc đứng vững , phổ biến sau một thập niên trên toàn khu vực Đông Nam Á ( giải thưởng 1000 usd ) 

Ns Hồng Đăng chủ tịch hội ns VN mang giải thưởng vào TS Báo Tuổi Trẻ theo yêu cầu của tôi . Người nhận giải là chị Vui , vợ ns Giáp Văn Thạch . Giải thưởng không chia đôi , tôi xin dành hết cho gđ nhạc sĩ vì anh qua đời quá sớm.

Nhân bức ảnh cũ 1996 ( photo by Nguyễn Công Thành ) tôi xin phép nói rõ hơn 40 năm qua bản quyền của Ck này tôi đã dành tặng tất cả cho gđ nhạc sĩ
